RN Cardiac Device Tech
We are looking for an RN Cardiac Device Tech to join our team!
The Cardiac Device Tech assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional medical practice. Performs clinical analysis of cardiac pacemaker and ICD patients in clinic and remotely, includes device interrogations, testing and reprogramming as appropriate. Document of device follow up in electronic medical record system, prepares documents for providers to review and alert practitioners of any abnormal findings. Educates patients who are new in receiving cardiac device implantation, includes remote follow up. Assist in event monitoring hook up and download, prepares and analysis of the reports, alert practitioners of abnormal findings. Keep abreast of the new cardiac device technology by communicating with device vendors representatives as needed and appropriately. Assists in daily functioning of device clinic which includes patient scheduling, answer phone calls, approved research projects, coordinating device checks for inpatients at the hospital with vendors as appropriate. Directs Device Clinic Medical Assistants in performing their duties within the scope of practice.
– BSN or a Bachelor’s of Science with extensive cardiac device experience.
– Current RN licensure in the State of Washington or Heart Rhythm Society Allied Health Professions Certification required.
– Current CPR certification required.
– Require a minimum of 3 to 5 years working in either Cardiology or Critical Care setting, preferably in Electrophysiology sub-specialty.
